Not that highlight works - I'm on that as well!
Fixed

Typo, sorry. It seems that highlight is too difficult for an idiot to type...   ...didn't the computer know what I meant? :P

is the posted edit rights restored as i still don't have them
Nope, not yet  :-[.  Its a fair way down the priority list at the moment, unless people can point out something fundamental that I've misunderstood about how important it is  :-\

If anything its a good thing, it will make people (me included) proof read posts more before clicking. Loads of people modifying posts, must put extra load I'm sure on the web server/database.

Firstly, I'd like to say thanks to the Admin staff for doing a fine & dandy job on running this forum. I hold my hat off to you all  :y

Now you'll have to excuse my stupidity,  ::)     I've played with my account settings regarding notifications, I get emails letting me know about posts I'm watching, but when I come onto the website, I don't have the notification window pop up taking me to the notifications section  ???
Have I not done something or does it not apply anymore?

Now being completly lazy, can the "notifications" tab be added on the main page along with Home, Help etc? Rather than go through "profile"?

If I'm going to be shot for asking, please make it in the head once, rather than be shot over and over again  ;)

Thank you O'mighty Admin  :y

blackviper - AFAIK (this software is new for the Admin Team as well, so we're still finding our way around it as well), the notification system is purely email...   ...unless it appear above the tabs (ie, by your avatar)? (I collapse this section, so not that clear what happens in there)

As above. Keep getting kicked out. My connection to internet is sound as I can go on any other site I please while trying to get into OOF. I'm sure you'll iron out these wee problems. Cheers

Hi TB, thanks for that. I'm not complaining about it, was just wondering if it was an "option"

I know nothing about running websites and have the utmost respect for anyone (especially you guys), who run these sites/forums! If it's just purely email, then thats the way it is.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys do, for all us "OOFers"  :y

Apostrophes maybe? Wonder if the software doesn't decode properly, or it gets messed up in the database (text containing apostrophes need special conversions when stored in databases).

Try without apostrophes, see if that cures it, then we can investigate a fix :)

I'm having an issue with PMs using OOF at work which runs IE 6 without Java (Dont ask!)

I bet it is because our IT system is in the stone age but was wondering if anyone else was having issues.

Sorry, don't have an IE6 to test with.

AFAIK, the software doesn't use Java at all, though does make a lot of use of Javascript (completely unrelated to Java, despite name)
