I got stabbed in both arms yesterday 

I had an appointment to see nursey for a checkup on me giving up smoking...(she's been prescribing me nicotine patches)

I failed after a week and half....and am back smoking again 

Reason i failed, is i kept waking up at night every couple of hours wanting nicotine.....after a few puffs on the ecig, i could drift off again but 2 hours later i was awake again. Not being able to cope with lack of sleep i went back to ciggies and since then sleep well.

However, when i told nursey this, she said i'd done well and would support me again in the future when i want to try again. Tho she said next time, not to leave the patches on at night, as she'd previously told me to do, as this was probably the reason why i was waking up.

Before she would let me leave, she stabbed with a flu jab in one arm, and pneumonia jab in the other arm.......and boy, aint they sore at the moment 

Tho in my job, it might stop me getting the flu, like i have the last two years (real flu, not man flu  )

At least it wasn't in the arse, like my tetnus, when they got me into hospital under false pretences, in the back of an ice-cream van, wired up to an ECG monitor (break me, those patches hurt when they come off )

Which is really lucky for you TD, because as we all know 'Man Flu' is a most terrifying & debilitating illness only surpassed by the Black Death!

This was over 10yrs ago

The pretty young nurse who was fixing my boat-race might have been a looker (but not a patch on the paramedic ), but I'm glad it was the big, old, crusty, experienced sister who stuck up in me jacksie - she hit the bullseye first time

never knew that. i always say i had a tetnus last yr so i don't have to have one. that jab in the arse is the worse thing ever. my last jab must be 15yrs ago

Plenty of women doctors out there, some are quite easy on the eye too

Last advice I had from the GP was that once you have had 3 Tetanus injections you are covered for life, unless you have a Tetanus prone injury (in which case they stab you again )

I've had more than the required 3 I can assure you
