the phrases that p*** me off are:-
Basically at the end of the day
To be honest
To be fair
Y'know like / like y'know
I'm lovin' it
Y'know what I mean
To be honest, and at the end of the day, I'm lovin' it to be fair. Y'know what I mean.
;D ;D It`s a game of two halves!  ;D ;D

It's taken a long time for someone to spot that one. Change over time, the black one has gone. :) :)

Being a Southerner living up North now (cheap houses) I've got used to being called Bud, Fella, Duck. I've even started saying Tara as goodbye. The usual greeting has gone from "Alright mate" when i was down South to "Now then mate" Been up here 7 yrs now & despite speaking in a southern accent i'm now saying "stopping here" instead of "staying here", "will it not fit?" instead of "won't it fit?"
Curious how such a small part of the globe has so many regional accents & related phrases that go with them. ::)

My only reservation about these ways of addressing people is when they are used even when someone's name is known. It can then sound arrogant or patronising, 'in my honest opinion' .  :-[ :-[
But I'm sure people are only wanting to be friendly, and it's only a matter of local habit, surely.
Alright, Wack?
