I have two of the yellow and two of the green relays Paul but no red one.Possibly not all cars were fitted with the red one ?
Do you know what the red one is for? ..........or got a part number for it.I have several orange/brown coloured relays (which I dont think are the correct one) but no reds, apart from servotronic relays and they live in the other side of the car.
Servotronic ECU IIRC. It's on the driver's side on later facelifts.
At a guess, the timer for the consumer switch-off delay (turns off the accessory socket and interior lights after the car has been left for 5-10 minutes), and the relay that controls the accessory socket (rear fag lighter).
The Yellow one is the servotronic power steering ECU.
Does the rear lighter socket switch off after the car has been parked for 5-10 minutes?
I'm still having issues with power drain...
Kevin in the first quote you said the
RED relay is for the Servotronic power steering ECU but then in the second quote you said it was the
Yellow relay, can we confirm what the red, yellow and green relays are for?
We've left the 10amp fuse in but pulled the green relay as that keeps clicking and getting warm even after swopping it with the one i got from Alb, we have also check AutoData for wiring references but its little help as only shows diagrams for the ABS and Airbag IIRC.
Autodata does list what the 10amp fuse powers tho and its lists quite a few items including 'Accessories' Does anyone know exactly what accessories it powers? As it could be that is causing my power drain, also the yellow relay i have in the car is 9 pin whereas the one Alb sent me is only 6 pin?
I'll try and get some meter readings to show the current thats being drawn with everything off and the car shut and locked.
