Basically my changer was not ejecting the magazine, so i bought another one from LINCS ROBERT :y

As said:

Make sure you have teh right version of CDC2 (same 10 digit number on the side)

Pull head unit for 1 hour

Refit changer, and then refit head unit

when he tested it as he wouldnt have been able to get the cds out he used to test it. really strange that it is doing the same thing as the old one. will go take the headunit out now and put it back in in an hour or so :y

You can now play copied CDs in your CD player & have a spare for when it goes t1t5 up, or you can wait till some here posts that they have buggered up their CD player by playing copied CDs & offer to sell them a working player.  ::) :y ;D ;D

Cleverer electrickery people will give you the technical reasons, but from what I've understood ...... CDRs weren't thought of when Omegas were first built so the laser wasn't designed to read CDRs so playing them strains the laser to kills it off sooner rather than later.  ;) ;)

CDRs are not good for older car players. However, the CDC2 is fairly robust in this respect - just keep to quality media.

CDC3 are very weak, never play CDRs in these

Given the age of the CDC2 lasers now, I wouldn`t risk the CDR`s in them either, especially as Blaupunkt have stopped supplying lasers for them also.

For those who want to know more about non compatable CD`R then take a look at this
