well after a few weeks of looking for a V6 with LPG I finally bought one today! Picking it up tomorrow so plan on giving it a proper going over before handing over the (piffiling amount of) money.

will hold off passing judgement on it before it's back on my drive but if all is well then it's a bloomin good price! Pretty excited about picking it up!

well he bought it with a broken gearbox for £360 check his feedback bud ! just want you to be ripped off make sure you take it for a very good hard test drive !!

aahhh that'll be why his ad says it's just had a full gbox service including thrust bearing, gaskets and oil.

he's made a tidy profit on it, but all the same, iI'm happy with what I've paid for it, and can't begrudge a guy for making a few bob!

ahh ok well thanks very much for letting me know about it! I'll tell you what it's like when I pick it up! couple of rusty bits on the arches but nothing too shocking.

...and OMG I'm astounded! How can it be possible to get so much car for so little money?!

The seller seemed truly genuine, volunteered all the gbox history etc without prompting.

LPG system is a multipoint and was installed in 2002, with a 10 yr warranty! auto switchover which is seamless.

How accurate are the consumption trip computers? Beacuse it seems to think I'm getting circa 38-42mpg at 70mph?! thats what my tdi passat does!!

Have to be honest (please don't hate me!) the fit and finish compared to my two previous passats and the audis we've got isn't even playing the same game, never mind in the same ball park, but it's certainly not terrible.

back seats are insanely comfortable...WISH I could drive from the back seat.

the only faults I can find with the car are a couple of bulbs in the dash have gone, and there's a couple of bits of bodywork that could do with a spit-polish. Other than that I'm absolutely delighted! Fingers crossed no nasty surpises in store lol. I'll be doing an oil and filters service in a week or so (par for the course on a newly bought car as far as I'm concerned) and hopefully it'll stay runing for plenty of time to come!

Oh and one other thing - it takes a little while to get into its stride, but what the bloody hell goes on at 4k rpm?! it takes off!! I've never had a car that overtakes with such exuberance! Not as outright fast as the civic blimey it doesn't have shift for a fatty!
