Need a steady hand...
« on: 12 March 2008, 15:50:02 »

... I need to solder a new USB port onto my old laptop motherboard.

Mine got ripped off last night  :'( :'(

I wonder if I can nick one off an old PC motherboard or something. I intend to repair it somehow, cos that's my "bath" laptop and also has a real comport for Cheapo Tech2 !

I sometimes actually run the power lead into the bathroom, but don't worry - only the 12 volt part of it ;)

Not sure I'd be so trusting of the insulation resistance of a cheapo Chinese power supply.  :o
