I was fitting my front end LPG last weekend, and bent the power steering reservoir pipe forward to get more space, pretty cramped under a V6 bonnet. It sat quite nicely, jammed against something. I started the car after work, no problems so all ready for Monday morn. My son remarked on how the steering reservoir was a bit low, but my mind was on other things so....
I started up on the drive to work and noticed a high pitched whine

. Steering was a bit... but useable, so I set off on my jaunt along the M62. Strange noises started coming, whining and when changing lanes etc, what was wrong ?. I spent the next hour puzzling if it was the steering pump, or the rack, I had fitted the cabin cable next to the steering column so could it be that, generally worrying about everything.
When I got to work, parking was a pain no assistance available at all, oh *******. The place I work is short of car accessory shops, so I called at the local garage to see if they had any power steering, unfortunately not. I opened the bonnet to check how empty and see any damage and ................
