MOT this afternoon!
« on: 18 November 2011, 13:41:26 »

The 3.2 is going in for MOT this afternoon

My prediction is a PASS, with advisories for

- slight oil leak (camcovers)
- slight coolant leak (rad)
- possible gearbox fault (this is what happened last time I presented one with the gearbox in limp mode!)  ;D

That said - it only goes into limp when you boot it, and then let off the gas.

I wouldn't clear the codes just before driving into the test centre, would I?  ;D

And just how close to the front door did you reset the ELM ???  :)

(and how long after you left before it came back on again ) ..  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

More seriously ..... Hope its not a major gearbox issue, but it doesn't sound healthy .. :(

actually mate, I  presented it in limp mode, as the code wouldn't clear. I told the tester what the situation was, and he said "as long as it can drag itself onto the ramp, it won't fail the test'.

Bonus!!

Gearbox sumps coming off tomorrow... Time will tell!! :y
