P.S MERCEDES should have read "extra" not "car" sales.
My mistake.

I found these & posted them for a laugh. Despite loving my Mig i'm not a big Vx fan. Early days Vx lost out to Ford every time.
   Victor vs Cortina
   Viva vs  Escort
   Cresta vs Mk1 Granada
No contest, all the Fords looked & drove better, though they both score even points on rusting!!!
In the 80's Vx pulled ahead with the Astra mk1 which was always a better car than the god awfull FWD Escort.
When we get to the Veccy/Mondeo debate ithink the Veccy looks better but the Mondy drives better.
I've just bought a cracking P reg Astra to replace a mate's R reg Escort Ghia which was a dog, & i'd love another HB Viva if i could find one!!!!!!!!! ::)
