Jamie aka The Boy will advise, but I don't think they need or use a code because they're paired to each other. Your old units will need 'divorcing' from each other with Tech II before  you 'marry' your new units.  :y

As far as Im aware if your old CID is furbed the it can just be removed, your new CID which should be in delivery mode can be paired to the HU via your Car Pass.

As long as the original CID was working in the car prior to going wrong, and the two CID`s are the same model / version, we can probably extract and copy the data over from the old one to the new one if you sent them both to me, which means you may not actually need a tech2 session at all - it would be plug and play.

Give me a yell if this is the case and we can discuss further.

What has been done to "toast" the chips ?

Chips Reprogrammed in any way, removed from the board? Are legs missing ?

Just because the unit is fried, we still may be able to recover something from it, but would need details of exactly what had been done to destroy it

Thanks !,

So I need:

1. Security code from Car Pass.

2. CID's pairing code. Must the pairing code be the same than in old CID or Can I
change the code according to new tires ? , And later if tire size changes new code must be
     programmed again by Tech2 ?.

3. Display language is programmed by tech2 too ?

4. Navigator's voice is set by tech2 and then I install new navi update from cd and then
new maps fom Road Mad cd ?

5. now everything should be OK or did I miss something ? :o

No that can be done via the head unit, but it can be set with tech2 so that it defaults to english if you loose power again.  :y

You need the pairing code used to pair the NCDC, CDC3, Telematics (if applicable) and CID.  If it was factory fitted, and unmolested, this will be on the car's carpass.  However, I doubt it was factory fitted - but can check from registration.

If you don't have pairing code, then, assuming it was all properly paired beforehand, I can decode it, and then pair in new CID.
