Ebay rip off
« on: 28 November 2011, 07:42:58 »

I've just sold my Omega diesel through Ebay and it went for £920. The final bill from Ebay was a whopping £41. luckily the buyer paid cash and not Paypal or there would have been another £27. Autotrader would have cost £27 for 3 weeks on the net and 2 weeks in there mag, next time i'm going to plan earlier and put my cars in the trader :(

I advertised a car on eBay for my Dad. Even though the car didn't sell, it still cost £27 because I'd put a reserve price on.  ???

Why?  You think it costs nothing to run a service like Ebay?  And Paypal are about the same costs as any other Merchant for clearing houses (unless to are a massive company, in which case, you may find a merchant for 2.5-3%)
