As for hanging...just reserve it for those that are 100% most certainly guilty...beyond reasonable doubt is always a little dodgy!

Hang, Draw, Castrate , and Quarter, along with the low lives that bred them. :y
Punishment never fits the crime or acts as a deterent these days, and therein lies the root of the problem. >:( >:( >:(

I would think that the fact that the roof has taken quite a lot of the initial impact has saved her life.

BBC just report it as a "Serious Police Incident"

Must admit I'm not looking forward to keeping going back and forth under those bridges at the moment
