Grey/blue means wire must be grey with blue line on it, so make sure you got the correct wire. Also could you give link with your hotfix product. And have you checked glowplugs with tester? You must disconnect wires from glowplugs and check resistance. Glowplugs resistance value Should be around 5 Ω. http://www.ngk-dpower.com/index.php?id=31&L=2
Injectors may also cause poor starting.
Ah! That's useful! To be absolutely honest, this wire is so thin it is hard to tell whether it is a grey one with a blue line or vice versa :-(
The hotfix product is here:
http://www.tawpark4x4.com/instructions/omega_hotfix.htmI haven't checked the glowplugs as they were all replaced less than 6 months ago in an effort to solve the warm start problem (made no difference at all of course). My Vauxhall (Main Dealer) garage has replaced the leak off pipes (that seemed to improve things temporarily) but all benefits now lost and back to the usual problem. Had the leak-off pipes checked again and all ok.
After having (and enjoying) the car from new, I am now at the point of thinking enough is enough and I am throwing good money after bad all the time. This last fandango with the Taw Park hotfix, is similarly depressing.
If all else fails, I suppose I will have to pay more to an auto electrician to install this box for me again. If that doesn't cure it, my love affair with the car has had its day and it will be time to move on.

Glad I didn't waste more money on those 'dodgy' workshop CDs so thanks for that.
