I've just had a butchers at the "How to do it" in the maintainence section, very helpful indeedl.

Just one question..................... it says in the instuctions to place the vehicle on axle stands.

 What happens if I drive  onto a pair of car ramps instead, will this impede me  in anyway?

You need to place the car on axel stands so that the axels will drop down, so place the stands at the jacking points.

Putting the car on ramps will keep the springs compressed and stop you from lowering the axel and removing the wheels or springs.

It was simple enough to do when i did mine last month, Although i forgot to undo the droplink on the one i still managed to do it

Not looked at trailing arm bushes, or that method. But would the bushes be tressed, and is it worth/did you need to undo the anto roll bar?

Could the drive shaft be pulled out?(no idea how that fits either tbh)

Managed to get job done tonight OK, nothing too difficult. Followed the guide which was a great help.

Both springs were really badly broken never seen such a mess, should make a big difference to the drive .

It's the Wife's car, so I hope she is happy with 2 rear springs and a steering Idler for her Xmas prezzy!
