Irmscher ? MV 6 on e bay
« on: 24 January 2012, 17:33:29 »

Hi all ,
Not been on the forum much latley owing to having to part with my beloved omega a while ago .

but things are looking up now & am looking to get another.

Seen this on e bay -  will have to give you the item number as don't know how to link to it  :-[ :-[ :-[

No. is 270899230424.      my querie is . . why is this listed as "Irmscher"    ?    all i can see is the irmscher badges having been stuck on.

Front bumper is standard for MV6 is it not ?

Just looking for opinions on this motor & the the price  ?  what do you think guys ?   worth a punt?

Anyone else looking at maybe buying this?

Regards, Al :y :y :y

Front bumper is an Irmscher item, boot spoiler is a Prodrive one for sure.  Not sure about the wheels, think they may be the wrong style for the year, thought they were the six spoke version from 2001 onwards - could be wrong!

As for the Irmscher badge to tell everyone...

It's got Irmscher front and rear bumpers plus the Irmscher twin exit stainless exhaust.  Other than that, it's a standard MV6.

Note it's also got the CID in it.  It looks like it's got the standard fault with it, but you know a forgetful Irishman that can sort that out, hey Al!  ;)

All in all, looks a good car with sensible miles, and in a nice colour.

Seriously considering it myself!  :y

Front bumper is an Irmscher item, boot spoiler looks to be too narrow to be an Irmscher, so suspect it’s a Prodrive one.  As for the Irmscher badge to tell everyone...

To tell everyone it's a pretend one . .  ;D ;D ;D ;D

A "Gen" Irmmy  would have front & rear spoilers,  side skirts,   "Softstars " ?

Ususlly  a bog standard guy myself so not sure what it should have or should not have  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

but looks Ok to me.    long way to go though to have a look :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

The wheels most Irmy Omegas have are Sport Stars.

Not sure what you mean by "Genuine" though Al.  All the Irmy parts were available as optional extras from the factory, but there is nothing to say the original owner would choose every item in the options list.  It's quite extensive...

Front bumper
Rear bumper
Side skirts
Boot spoiler
Wheels
Suspension
Steering wheel
Door pins
The list goes on... Several grands worth!!  :o

Worth a punt?

Well if I had £995 I'd definitely have it!

Looks a bargain to me!

Go and have a look

The front bumper and rear bumper must have been put on after first being sold as they are a slight different colour......I have seen this on ebay myself and thought about maybe trading up the 3.2....But i have not finished my elite the way i want.  Plus i have two omegas so the wife would kick me in the nuts i reakon. ;D ;D ;D
