Starter Motor
« on: 25 January 2012, 14:23:07 »

Hi, I have a Omega 2.5 TD 1999. I had a new starter motor put on it 2 yrs ago. but yesterday when I went to start it I only got a loud whinnying noise and it wouldn't start the engine, so I had to get a push of to get home. A Friend suspected the starter motor but when he removed it , and bench tested all worked OK. so he replaced it and the whining was still there but no turning of the engine, As we have no wiring diagrams for this model, any suggestions will be gratefully received Thanks     :(

Hi Guys, Just solved the problem, M y Friend took the starter motor off again and gave it another run on the bench but this time it started with the loud  whine and then screeching when he opened the casing the insides had started to disintegrate SO put on new starter motor all 100% OK.  Thanks for looking anyway. Best Regards Densum.    :y
