That stinks in all honesty and whoever it is needs a reality check ...

However, a thought that may or may not help ....

As, it would seem, no-one else on the forum has "heard" this story, maybe, just maybe, the perpetrator has not started or repeated a rumour as such .. but is just trying - and succeeding - in winding you up

Still a pretty puerile thing to do, but at the end of the day, as long as you and the missus are OK and can see the stupid side of this, all is good.
