Noob from Ireland
« on: 10 February 2012, 21:15:54 »

Hi all, I've been lurking on here for a while and seeing as I bought my first Omega two weeks ago I thought I'd better register.
There seems to be huge amount of really useful information on here so this'll be my point of reference plus I'm sure I'll have to odd one or two stupid questions along the way as I wouldn't really know much about these particular cars.
I've had few different Opel's over the past few years and this is what currently sit's on the drive...

I've had this Corsa B for a few years now, might have only put about 1-2k miles on it in that time! It's been though quite a few changes and I resprayed it in it's current colour last summer. It's got a c16se under the bonnet. It's a fun little thing to drive on back roads but I really don't use it enough.

I got this Astra Coupe two years ago, it's since had quite a lot of work done to it, new z20let from Vauxhall fitted, new z20leh turbo from Courtenay, Cobra cat back system and Eibach springs fitted. Also add to that quite a few sensors! It's been my daily driver for the most part and I still love it despite the wallet emptying experience!

And last but not least is my Omega x20xev. I got it as I had a hankering for something really comfortable and rwd. Being in Ireland road tax is very expensive so the V6 engines were just too expensive to justify. So far I'm delighted with it, it's easlily one of the most comfortable cars I've drove yet despite the rather soft suspension it handles quite well and is very easy to place in a bend. It's a little thirsty on short drives but on a longer run manages about 33mpg so I can live with that. My only real plans so far are to tidy it up a bit.
