does any one know if the pre 98 modles have an immobiliser fitted 2.5td 1995 theres no chip in key fob             thanksw

i thought all cars after 1996 had to have an immobilizer fitted ?? :-\

All cars had immobiliser. Those with infrared locking have a simple, easily bypassed, those with RF locking have a more advanced transponder and coded ECU setup.

Noel - all (retail) Omegas have factory fit immobilisers.

HI    mine has no key fob locking but stripped cowling from steering column and has immobiliser fitted are the easy to by pass or main agents for new key ect         its a 1995 with no security card           and im in spain   so agents r a ripoff      please help :o

That's true, but not all have alarms fitted as standard, as I found out yesterday.
Took mine to Vauxhall's to program 2 new key fobs. I mentioned the fact that I have never heard the alarm go off on the car. I was informed that my car had no alarm and the key fobs were the wrong type. They have ordered the new fobs for next week.
