Only got the switch, no connecting block that slots into the console surround

Will it not fit into the blank in the console? ie. can I drill a hole in the blank to accommodate the switch ?
Not quite sure what you mean, are you thinking of mounting a Trafficmaster switch in a blank?

No, I just want a switch to turn the interior light off. RobG says "Only got the switch, no connecting block that slots into the console surround" But I dont know what he means.

I've popped the blank out, and it looks like there is a connector block in there, like if the car was fitted with traction control but with the switch missing. There is also a blank on the passenger side opposite the boot pop, that also has what looks like a connector block.

Two options if you want the switch in the centre console.
1) fit a push to make/break switch in your existing blank.
2) utilise a TC switch by establishing what are the push to make/break connectors on said switch and connect wires from int. light to suit

I am thinking if I use a TC. switch in the centre console, as in option 2. I would have to rip out the console the get to the connector. Same thing as in option 1. I suppose I could use the traffic master switch, because I dont use the traffic master, I have been thinking about taking the TM. out for some time now. I have an idea to use a boot pop button from a Carlton in the existing blank. But again it means ripping out the centre console. Or use the Carlton boot pop button in place of the TM. button.

Just curious what the latest is. You already have a TrafficMaster switch you don't use, and you are talking about using a Carlton on, ripping out consoles etc. Any reason you don't use the TM switch?
