Broke the M3, down to just the Micra that actually works properly..

Aux fan has packed up (or the controller) - naturally controller and fan come as one £400 unit from BMW and it's bumper off to replace it.

Someone lend me some matches..

Just as i was thinking about an 840  ::)

Don't do it!

Although I've always loved the way they look .. and I suppose in two years all the M3 has cost me is £1000 on tyres, £800 on brakes, £400 to fix the SMG-II pump, and now probably £300 for a radiator fan..

I must be  :D

New exhaust fitted to big blue, ETS one, went on ok.

Got the old one off well, even managed to get all 4 bolts out - I ground the nast rusty ends off so there was no crap thread to pull through, got em hot with the blowtorch, good spray of freeze and release and out they all came, one needed 3 applications of heat, but they all came out, so happy not to be drilling em out!

Did you drop the downpipes, or do it under the car?

Got the passenger side wishbone changed today, (both fronts creaking like crazy on the bumps), front bush was very soft and the rearward bush had failed completely. Not sure if they are the original bones or not as I cant see any identification marks on them, no history of them being changed though as I was given all the receipts from new with the car. Ball joint was also very loose but no discernible play off the car. Nice and quiet on that side now, just hope it stays dry tomorrow to get the other side done.

Sun came out so got drivers side wishbone changed today, rear bush had failed in exactly the same way as passengers side one, also lots of play in the forward bush too. Next job is to get the new struts on and replace the top bearings as they are badly pitted, could feel them jumping between the pits when I was turning the struts while fitting the wishbones.

Finally got all the bits together (spare wheel and tyre, wheel carrier and toolkit with various hooks and bolts) and got the local garage to fit it for me.
Feel much better with a spare wheel instead of a bottle of glue.
