LOL, I just bought one for my saloon about half and hour ago ;D

I went for the ETS one from egay (as it worked out cheaper than their own shop, by the time postage went on).

Won't be here for a couple of weeks.

Fitted one to tunnies a year or 2 back, one section was faulty, which was replaced, otherwise every bit as good as Eternal I've used before

From that, and comments elsewhere, think its probably the one to order.

The difference on the estate rear bumpers is alot less marked than the saloon :y

Unless you are after a certain look, not sure I'd bother (based on what I've seen with facelift saloons). The exhaust does not quite clear a FL saloon bumper, but no drone/booming due to that.

Either way, I'd fit the exhaust, then make the decision on whether or not to fit trims :y

ETS appear identical to Eternal, but they are cheaper  :y

ETS did send me a dud centre section for my 3.2, with bend in the wrong place. They replaced it without issue, just time delay in new one getting here.

I'd use them again, as Eternal's site is a right pain to use, even if they list the rights parts in the first place.

The tailpipes actually come clear of the rear bumper by about 15mm on mine :y

But I do have an Irmscher rear bumper :-X ::)

Does the Irmscher rear bumper involve trimming the crash pad in the same way as you do the front :-\

If not, then they're probably the same depth near as damn it :y

My genuine VX one clears thed standard bumper by a similar amount fwiw :y

Fair play to ETS. Just missed the delivery as doing the school run. But that's fast delivery imho

I ordered mine Sat, but wasn't posted until Tues. Allegedly, it was still in Germany last night, but ArseholeForce were banging at my door at 8am today :)

Ordering off ebay made it slightly cheaper on the postage, but slightly more expensive for the parts (but did include a fitting kit). Overall, I reckon I saved about £5 (plus getting free fitting kit) ordering via ebay, as opposed to their own shop. And Nectar points ;D

Yes.

For facelifts, you'll have to make a decision once fitted if it needs trim pieces to clear the bumper.

But all V6 saloons take the same exhaust and all V6 estates take the same (ignoring that the facelift bumpers stick out a bit more)

I can vouch for ETS too, ordered mine just before midnight on Sunday night for the double nectar points bonus, it was dispatched from Poland in two parcels at 9.24am on Tuesday 1st April. The first one arrived at my house in Glasgow this morning, 4th April just before 11am, but according to Parcel Force tracking, my other parcel is still sitting in their north west processing centre in the U.K, so the delay is theirs not ETS's, probably wont get the other one till Monday now. On the upside though, the sections that have arrived today are good quality so I'm very happy with the ETS service.

Mine was estimated to arrive around 10th I think, so made good progress.  Their tracking system for their courier only seems to update late in the evening, but mine went from Poland to Germany to ParcelForce, posted 1st, arrived 4th.

Same for me with delivery estimate, Warsaw Poland, Strykow Poland, Neuenstein Germany then Parcelforce U.K. the only flaw I have discovered is the clamps supplied with mine for joining the tailpipe are for 64mm Dia pipes, and the pipes themselves are only 54mm Dia, so no way will they close up enough to clamp tightly. Not worried though as I'll just buy a couple of correct sized clamps myself. Probably a simple packing error but will message them to let them know anyway.

Yup, just checked, mine are way too big as well. Trip to Hellfrauds later then. Bloody mongrels.

I never normally buy the fitting kits, because they are often wrong/shite.  But as it was a freebie ::)

Still, I'm just the stupid kid from the local comprehensive, but surely they would have noticed...

They probably ordered 10,000 of them and aren't allowed to buy any of the correct size until they're all gone ::)

If you have the GM stylee clamps on the old rear pipe, re-use them with a new nut n bolt. Gives a better seal.

Well 1/2 of mine arrived Friday, Posty made another trip.
2nd half went to the wrong depot....and finally made it as far as the doorstep today.
The packaging had fallen off, and the backbox was smashed in, possibly also missing bits...
Posty put it back on his van. :(

That's not good.  I do feel they could package better, yet despite the state of the packaging, mine arrive undamaged.

I'd get straight on to them.

Perhaps it's worth paying slightly more then... Mine was bubble wrapped, taped, cardboard and then boxed! Fitting kit was correct too ::) It also included new bolts (and nuts and washers) for the cat flange too :y

I'm still waiting on my offside front section to arrive, not ETS's fault but parcel force are to blame, it is in their van on the delivery route now, they received both packages at the same time but for some reason sent one to the wrong distribution centre.
On the plus side, ETS have been very helpful, they've been in touch with me several times regarding the incorrect clamps issue and have just issued a £5 refund so I can get them locally. They did also offer to source a set of the correct size and send them but it was easier for me to just get them myself. My fitting kit was fine apart from the clamps and had the nuts and bolts for the cat flanges as well.

I found they respond within a few hours.

I too have been offered £5 or wait until they can send me the right clamps. Seeing as on Friday, I bough 2 x 54mm clamps and 2 x 57mm clamps from Hellfrauds on Friday for about £1.25 each (trade), I went for the fiver.

For info, anyone else needing clamps, 54mm is correct. I wasn't sure, so I bought 54 and 57mm

Mine have still not been shipped yet ??? but it was only Friday i put the order in and will not have time to fit this week anyway, and as the MV6 has been off the road for 3 years i don't think another two weeks will hurt. Now do i go out and buy some clamps (54mm) and then ask for £5 back later ::) ::)

OK, 09:03 this morning and Mr Parcel Force is banging on the door, as I only got in from collecting the black Elite from Scotland at 03:00 this morning, I had only just got up. Checked the parcels out before he left and all was there and looks not to be damaged, had a coffee to wake up and then unpacked fitting kit to find the same 65mm clamps :-\ so have sent them a note. Wonder if they will offer a £5 refund !!!!!!  For the money the system cost and the speed it got here from Poland I'm happy. All I have to do is find the time to fit them, as another 72 hour week starts at 06:00 Friday, no time today as I have the daughter and granddaughters down from Scotland tonight. Happy bunny all round at the moment.

Just wondering if it's possible to get a few dimensions of the back box before fitting???

Diameter of the inlet pipes, length of the swaged part, the length of the actual silencer section and how many hangers, 2 or 4 please.
This might be needed to fit to another car......

TIA

Jon

Well all fitted yesterday, and Ill add some pics of the tailpipes.

Whats funny, is the posty has just delivered the rejected section rewrapped!  guess they didnt want it back, i Should have a whole, slightly damaged exhaust left over!

Also made up with myself for removing all 4 bolts without the aid of a drill, as mentioned on what you done today thread, I cut off the rusty ends, heated up the section with blow torch, used freeze and release and out the came :)

would still be beneficial to drill the flanges and use nuts n bolts.
