easy way take a plug out or use a good Known one put your lead on hold electrode to engine with plieres get someone to turn the key and look for the spark. DO NOT touch plug when engine is turning or running as it will bloody hurt belive me I've done it.
( note to self you Bloody idiot Lol )

Is the throttle valve working?

Well simplistically, it needs

Air
Fuel,
Spark,
Compression

You have air, you have fuel, and you have spark - compression test it  :y
