Bl**dy Hell.
Before the issues with the suspension, the car drove well, and handled tidily (for a mig
).
When the suspension went south, the car was basically dangerous.
Replaced most all the front suspension last week, setting by eye. Car on ramps on a sloping drive not ideal. :-/
Car drove ok though I hadn't really pushed it. Thought the lanes on the way from M25 to Chesham looked quite fun, so pressed on a bit, car was all over the place
45 mins later and the car is transformed, noticeably better than it was 60k ago.
Values before and after are posted in the test section for reference. Only the toe was significantly out front AND rear, everything else was technically green, so quite pleased that I had put the car back almost right.
Note that the wheel was off centre, so before values for front toe are well out, although the car did run fairly straight with wheel off centre.
Rear adjusters were tight, but hadn't seized, a pleasant surprise apparantly.
Well worth the 5 hour round trip, (Poxy M25
).
