not in a special order but all of these I can recommend (first group not cheap though);

potenza adrenaline (bridgestone) (I'm using)
continental sporticontact 3
good year eagle f1

a bit cheaper but still I can advice
micheline primacy hp
goodyear efficient grip
bridgestone turanza

economic
toyo proxes
kumho ku31

and as an experince tires are a subject that what you pay is what you get.. not a very good tire for cheapo prices.. :-/

I didnt include micheline ps2 as its extremely expensive ..

Falken ZE912 is my recommendation. We are on our second set, good all round performance and reasonable wear rate.

really? how much is expensive then? toyo proxes t1r's are the boys for an impreza and are what i'd call quite expensive

i know 225 50 r17 t1r's are around £130 each but were by far the best tyre ive had on an impreza (and there has been alot)

It seems to be such a personal thing.

Personally, I like the Dunlop SP9000s and the Conti SC2s (both obsolete now), and hate the Michelins with a passion.

But then I demand a certain level of grip from my tyres, and prepared to compromise slightly (but not massively) on durability.

For many years I have used Avon's on all my big Vauxhall's, and have no reason not to recommend them due to their great performance and reliability :y :y :y :y

See, it is fairly well known here that I wouldn't put them on a wheelbarrow ;D

I had a set of ZZ3s on the back of my (admittedly chipped) tractor, tore them to shreds in 4k, and I can't say the grip was that impressive during that time.

I replaced them with some cheap, budget Nexen CP641, and they were miles better except in very heavy rain.

She is running Toyo Proxies T1R's all round....grippy, bit noisy tyre, quite impressed.

Im running  Vredstein Ultra C Sessanta's just as grippy, but quieter.
only have em on the back....pair coming for the front in a month or 2.

when i used to have a sierra i used to put something expensive on the front and (grim)re(per)moulds on the back, was loads of fun wet or dry,(i was 18 :D) well it was fun till it all went backwards through a hedge thanks to a blow ot on the rear. never skimped on tyres since........

thanks for all you recomendations so far, if i could afford it i think i stick t1r's on as ive done alot with them before, but i cant spend £500 odd on tyres at the mo :(

Hmmm, allow me to pick on you, without "picking on you" if you see what i mean.

Can i ask what other tyres have been fitted to your omega, and what you thought of those? TB and i have differant oppinions on why people choose a tyre, i'll explane later what i mean.

I was impreessed with my 912's when fitted....

but would like to cover your experience Z...

Another happy Falken user. Reason I bought them, they were recommended (and fitted) by WIM. 1500 miles in they seem to be doing ok. Haven't caused them to let go with either pedal, but then I do tend to drive like somebody's dad since I took up trucking.

Dont remember the various names of the tyres that came with it, but they were all well past it so cant offer a valid critique of pro's and con's.

Seems to me car tyres are like boat anchors. People can get very attached too and defensive about their choices, even though there is seldom a really bad choice that can be made. (takes shelter from anticipated barrage) :P
