So, if it gets nodded through by the cabinet, the house of commons, doesn't upset the DUP and doesn't get vetoed by any EU member states, we're sorted? :y

Hmm. Wondering if the pickup strainer got clogged? Years of neglect followed by fresh oil with fresh detergent...?

Yep, easy enough to change to standard shocks, and probably the best option if you don't tow regularly but you do need to disable the levelling system by removing the compressor relay in the fuse box.

Pah, McAfee is no where near as bad as the Symantec/Norton virus used to be. (I've not tried Symantec for years, so it may have improved, but I doubt it.)

I should have said, same advice applies to Symantec. ;D

Omega General Help / Re: battery problem?
« on: Today at 12:24:17 »
The crimps where the cables join the battery terminals are prone to working loose. Check that the battery terminals aren't getting hot and that the crimps are secure.

Mine gave me a warning that my mcafee licence had expired yesterday . . . . . funny thing is I dont have it installed. :-\

Once your machine is pwned by mcafee you might as well just bin it. ;)

I'm guessing more local take-up has gradually increased either contention or crosstalk between the lines.

Ive certainly seen better cables ;)  I know money is tight currently, so unless theres a problem, it wont be remedied....esp as the clutch bleed lasted a day before no clutch again, no great suprise, but probably means the end of the car

Fair enough, but worth bearing in mind in case of further issues. :y

So, the government has heaped subsidies and encouragement on a technology that turns out to be a complete crock? Fancy that! ::)

Yep, the symptom is gone, but the cause is probably still there, in that the HDMI cables are radiating something nasty. Are they cheap looking cables?

I ask as, if they're prone to radiating interference, they're equally prone to collecting it, so they might find the picture / sound on the TV drop out every so often.

Good to have got to the bottom of it, though. :y

Must sort the wiring here some time as the muppets who built the place connected one wire out of each pair to the A, B and ring lines on the faceplate. ::)

Not an issue with ADSL as I've got a filter faceplate, but there are some nearby sources of RF interference that might upset blow the @rse out of the phones. ;D

Have you tried the Diagnose/Repair facility?

Is that the one that's shaped like a wooden stick with a 4lb lump of cast iron on one end? ::)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Radio behaviour
« on: 08 November 2018, 19:54:25 »
I am convinced the non volatile memory in CCR2006s gets poorly eventually.

Occasionally mine will forget what radio station was tuned in and sometimes, it fails to turn off, leaving the MID illuminated until I pull the fuse to reset it. ::)

Best plan is probably to replace it with a cheap aftermarket head unit and fascia adaptor, TBH. More of a PITA if you have Bose, of course.

Might also be worth replacing the oil in the diff if it is a LSD.
Be sure to use a mineral oil with the GM LSD additive.
