Starmer has just taken us half way back into the EU, while of course denying that he is doing anything of the sort.
Probably the worst part is giving them another 12years of access to fishing UK waters.
Another 12 years of Spanish factory ships hoovering the fish out of the water, and there will be no fish left.
How much more betrayal  can the remains of our fishing industry can the fishermen put up with ffs ?

As much as I don't particularly like Lineker, or have much time for him, I can sympathise to some extent, as my employer also monitors my online comments outside of work and I'm disciplined in the same way I would be if I made the same comment at work.  Hence I can say pretty much anything about a white, straight penis bearing male.

Should we not all be entitled to reasonable, legal free speech outside of work?

I think I would take legal advice in your case. That has to be unlawful under the right to free speech.
Linekers case is very different though as he works for the National / state broadcaster which has legal duties on neutrailty and impartiality.
It ignores them, but usually in a reasonably subtle way so it doesnt get into trouble over it.
Lineker has increasingly become more blatant about his political bias, and retweeting a message about Jews which had a rat symbol, was beyond the pale.
Even the Beeb - who seem to worship him, couldnt ignore that.

Joking aside, our social media team will allow anything as long as it represents the company in a positive light. Apparently the line is just short of filming celebrities in first class or dead celebrities being unloaded from the hold. Both of which are about as retarded as selling staff concessions on eBay.

Fortunately we get to have some wonderful but incredibly un pc chats with passengers, crew and random people you meet all over the place that the thought police can't regulate although whilst away between flights, we are essentially on company time as they're paying for the accommodation etc so are expected to behave accordingly... Much like a school team playing at another school. Doesn't always work out that way though

Indeed. They can write whatever they like in their company handbooks. Doesn't make it enforceable.

Back then I remember I had suspicions about a team member and my manager got his phone calls list and he was “ working” for the competition. No social media back then.

I've been fortunate in my career to have been able to avoid anywhere with such a "large company" ethos. A couple of interviews at such places was enough for me.
