Stainless exhausts

I need a new exhaust system - 3 years old and falling apart - genuine as well.

So who is good for stainles systems and roughly how much?

Hi
I bought one of those and I am very pleased with it.  They did used to claim in their advert that stainless steel was used, but it looks as they they have stopped doing this now.  Stainless was not in fact used (I think it was a translation problem not a deliberate effort to mislead) and when I complained they gave a discount and said they would modify the description, so they seem to be a reasonable bunch to deal with.

There was very minor fettling needed to fit it, but no worse than any other exhaust I've ever fitted.

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.

I'm tempted by the longevity of a stainless system but don't want the drone that they inevitably produce :-/ :-/

I think I'll be getting the same as you Jimbob

This is a very good company that I have used, they made an exhaust for a fairly rare Lancer estate, the owner couldn't find a replacement exhaust apart from the dealers which was very expensive.
Xtreme made a standard looking exhaust, they can tune the exhaust note to any spec you like, the replacement stainless exhaust was quieter than the standard item.

£128.90 in total is an excellent price for the V6

I paid £183 fitted, from Selecta tyres in Grantham. Pretty reasonable I think as it took them more than two hours to remove the f**ked original

iirc, powerflow, and about £500 fitted iirc...

I contacted my local powerflow dealer last night and was quoted £380 fitted for cat back, and £180 fitted for just back box.

And at that price I could almost be tempted to tolerate the drone ::) ::)

After all, it's got a crappy Kwik Fit think on at the moment so already a little droney :-/ :-/

I had a custom made one done by a local speciallist @ the time, the Oof member who gave me real good advice was Albatross to who I'm still gratefull I found that has he adviced me by going to a local firm I was able to put out my own spec in as much I wanted a shush exhaust with a slight song when pushed hard and of course the lambdas resiteing, and I also wanted a twin outlet on the backbox, all these things I got with spades and although I paid 450 at the time I now know it to be real good value,I was surprised when I saw the system has one centre box as opposed the GM's twin centre box after market moaning system of 3 month old vintage which it replaced.
