Anybody know how to program an Astra remote, the method in the handbook don't work for my sons car (2001 Astra mk4 1.4l)

will only work if it has lost sync...wont program a new key to the car, you need a car computer for that (ie tech2)

I don't think it's a new key, it's one of 2 that he got with the car, it starts the car  ok just won't lock the doors. The other key works fine.

Does the led work when you press either button? They are the same as Omega key fobs in that the battery holder comes away from the pcb. I've had to resolder one of SWMBO's keys for her Astra G
