Drivers door door catch problem
« on: 11 August 2021, 11:28:54 »

Hi all, have a very annoying problem with my drivers door,

Basically, I unlock car get in shut door when I reach my destination, pull catch to open door nothing happens, can’t get out, but if I lock car then unlock it again it works, should add now and then it works but mostly I have to lock it and unlock it again, central locking is working fine, I have same problem getting in sometime I unlock fine button pops up with central locking but door won’t open lock and unlock again it’s fine, now I am thinking door catch, any thoughts🙂

Take the latch out, clean it and lubricate it.

Then start looking for a replacement  :y

German ebay for a Vornebeifahrer one ;) needs to be an Omega B one...

Or the US for a front right one from a Cadillac Catera...

How many have you got?
I've got some of the ZF microswitches here (somewhere), which are the usual culprit when the motors don't work. I'll try and refurb the motors if you wish. Thanks,
