Seriously, just now and again you see a car that makes you seriously wonder what the original purchaser was taking ,

like, ,HOW on earth they persuaded themselves that metallic neon snot green with pink trim was a good idea.....

but thinking about it, i came to also think about the less extreme , but nonetheless aesthetically abhorrent options that many have voluntarily chosen over the years.

the kind of Champagne Gold you see a number of cars in..

Why?/ it looks utterly pants..... on ANYTHING...... Even Marantz stopped making Hifi in that colour DECADES ago....

so why order it on a car?

other such travesties, such as ANY metallic Pink, or indeed, any Shade of Pink..... or Orange.... the last decent looking Orange I recall was a Mk2 Rs2000 \ and that was only coz there weren't any white, black or red ones available....

What colours make you wonder if the owner is registered blind?

That weird beige/pink colour that you see VW Polos in....the one that looks like its been painted in wood primer....

Also.....crash test yellow.....I want to get some black circles to stick on the side of them in car parks....

yeah, but the Dolly Sprint is same kind of era and class as the Rs2000 was , probably the same Orange as well

(My Dolly Sprint was Yellow..... and would probably have benefited from some of Mark's little black circles.... utterly utterly shagged it was....)

There's a particularly nasty shade of green that Citroen do, there's also a sort of "salmon" colour I see around and who could forget this?

From my front room i can see a metallic green Micra that is just awful//// it's a kind of loud lime green metallic...

it's on the forecourt of the used car sales place over the road, and seriously, I reckon they'll have trouble even giving it away....

I mean, what are the odds that a second person would voluntarily choose to own a car that colour?

I love white cars and FWIW, I quite like the 'champagney' colour that was mentioned earlier in the thread. I used to have a Carlton Dippy that colour and I would've kept it had the object of the exercise not been to make some money off the thing.

Black's cool but a total beeyatch to keep looking clean and I also like gunmetal and charcoal grey.
