..... And yes it's ends up it was the pedal switch.  Now just need to find whatever it is that's causing chaos with the electrics
rather crusie control not working ( ....

That could still be down to the brake light switch. The fact that the brake lights work isn't an indication that the new switch is correctly set ...... try pulling it out another click

The red slieve?

Thank rather beajesus.

Took the lazy 'dangle berries' approach after a long time wrecking about and harbouring a bad back and got my buddy to fit it. And yes it's ends up it was the pedal switch.  Now just need to find whatever it is that's causing chaos with the electrics
rather crusie control not working (replaced clutch switch too and still not working and have tested the stalk and it's fine) heated seats keep blowing a fuse. They all work front and rear except front pass seat.

1st port of call. I'm bad with electrics. I can do hardware stuff like take out an engine of box but the electronic side I'm bad with....... how many earth's are on an omega and where are they all at?

Will do buddy.

Take it putting it back in is alot easier than removal? Or is that a pain too?

It's one with a rectangle plug on the end different than the ones in that ebay link.

Switch is suspect anyways. Brake lights not working at all. Lights come on for when headlights are on plus reverse lights working but not brake lights of the led bar. Also you know the way when you start the car up it will say "brake light check" on the display. Normally a touch on the brake gets rid of this.  For me now pressing the pedal does not and using the wiper stalk trip computer buttons is the only way to shift it.

From what I've said its a safe bet it is the switch ain't it? Ps changed bulbs and checked every fuse.

As above struggling to get the brake pedal switch out. Any help would be great thanks.

Got talking with my guy in the know. He reckons repair sections can be bought for 35 each. Think I'll go this route. Have tried the rust treatment and paint and it doesn't work that we'll.  Seems to be from what ever one here says 3 -6 months tops for this way then rusts agsin.

So will get a set of these bought in the next couple of months. Will be next year before I get them done. Other things wana do 1st.

Take it it would be a pretty big job replacing both entire rear wings??  I assume you can buy both the complete panels then what would be repair sections?

Anyway the new estate td elite. Been lovin it and getting alot of tidy up jobs done. She was in rather good nick but just a few wee fiddly bits needed doing. Pretty much want to leave her everything working as it should, looking the part and no rattled. (Have 2 annoying as hell rattles one from under dash at idle and other the door pin)

Anyways my last td I'd spent a small fortune on paint to tidy up a few bits when I'd 1st got it. Spoiler painted, front and back bumper had a couple of scuffs and ofcourse the arches. I told the guy take as much time as he needed and money no object as long as the job was done right.  But 6 months later the rust came back on the arches no joking about 700 percent worse than before they were painted.

Anyways I've resided myself with the fact that maybe the only way to sort out crusty rusty arches is to cut out rust and weld in new metal then paint.

Question is this will future proof the arches won't it? I intend keeping this car 4 or 5 years minimum. Also where can I get new arches out of to weld in? Watching wheeler dealer is the only thing I know about this so is a copy part going to be alright of must it be a genuine part? Also any ideas of costs for both? Thanks

Aragh. Just figured out. Driver seat working and passenger seat isn't.  The Button on the dash is lighting up ok but just no heat. What colour is the wires from the heated pads that go into the wee plastic harness so I can get the multi meter on them. Thanks

Is there a handy way of disabling it without the authorised car seat?

Lol never knew you could get dealer approved child seats.

Quick question whilst on topic of youngster seats...... is it legal to have a front facing child seat in the front? Was an issue my evil ex tried to whoop my ass over.
