Well I'm home now, and I think I've done just over 800 miles* in the last few days and it's telling me it's doing 42.2 mpg.  I filled up just outside Edinburgh and I've got just less than half a tank left. Pretty good for a big heavy motor!  :y

*Haven't worked out how to reset the trip yet.  :D

We haven't made a Jag car for eight months, the new ones are on the proto line at the moment

It's a funny way of going about things if you ask me.  :-\

My new steed.  :y

Picked it up on Friday afternoon and drove it to Scotland. On my way home now.  :)

Another pic of Scotland... Just because.  8)

A white one.  No idea what it is, and it's out of view.  But it is dangerously slow.

Optie will cream his jeans because it is petrol.

Lord Opti doesn't wear jeans.  At his age, he prefers brown polyester trousers that belt around his belly button.  8)                                                             ;D

Ad no longer visible, but I'm guessing some clapped out Merc that will struggle to outlast the Mundano?

;D
Tig has probably bought it.

It was a hi spec E320cdi estate.

No I haven't bought a clapped out Merc!  ;D

What are you hoping to replace the Titty X with, Tig?

......and how deep are your pockets?

Today I had to get the bus and a train....  :(

South Western Railways have now been nationalised, and the train was 10 minutes late.  To make sure it got to Waterloo on time they decided not to bother stopping at Andover, Woking and Clapham Junction, so everone who was getting off at those stops had to get off at Salisbury or Basingstoke and change trains.  ::)

Yes, but they need putting back to BC.

They don't believe in Christ.  ;)
Yeah they certainly won’t believe in Christ there as it’s BC👍🤣

In that case they can't believe in their Prophet either.  :)

The Mondeo catastrophically failed it's MOT today.  :(   The End.  ;(
What's killed it? Rust?

Actually that wasn't strictly true, it did fail, knackered front discs and rear arm bushes mainly, and advisories for corroded subframes front and rear, corroded rear arms, and corroded rear springs. He said the subframes had about a year in them.  :-\

What's really done for it though, is a failing dual mass flywheel which accounts for the stiff gear change and vibrations.  :(  The End.  ;(

I was emotional when I posted the MOT fail!  ;D

Trump often says the quiet part out loud.

Yesterday his word of the day was f*uck.....today it is 'scum' when describing CNN. ;)

I think he was wrong yesterday with his un presidential language. Benjamin Netanyahu knows exactly what he's doing, the Ayatollahs not so much though as they have too much faith in fairy stories.  ::)

Good point.

The US asked China to ask Iran not to disrupt the Straits. No doubt Russia are hoping they do disrupt so they benefit from the price increase.

As an aside haven’t Israel had the nuclear capability for maybe 60 years. It seems a bit rich expecting Iran not to. Israel hasn’t exactly covered itself with clean tactics over Gaza. One man’s freedom fighter is someone else’s terrorist and all that.

On Trump.Seems strange he can’t influence Putin ( maybe that though was all about  getting the Europe element of NATO to spend more and shoulder Ukraine) but he can do a bit of bombing when Netinyahoo whispers “ jump” in his ear.

No one should think that allowing Iran to tool up with nuclear weapons is a good idea, whether a neighbour has them or not.  ::)

The idea of a nuclear armed Iran is terrifying, as the mad mullahs are probably mad enough to use one.  :o

Starmer is a mouthpiece for every bleeding heart cause in the world. He's a mealy mouthed apologist and he won't rest until restitution has been given for all of our past ' crimes'.
He's got no spine, the unions demand money and he just caves in. His MPs tell him he's wrong over the winter fuel payment, he caves in. Europe and Trump tell him to jump and he asks how high.
I hate him. Little grey man.

Starmer makes John Major look exciting. :)

He excited Edwina Currie!  ;D

Rumour has it he banged her over the cabinet table. >:D

Shame he didn't run the country wth the same rigour and vigour!  ::)
What do you mean? He shafted us too.

Well, if he'd have put as much energy into running the country as he did rogering Edwina on the Cabinet table, we might have been spared Blair.  ::)

She obviously was a bit of a goer, and wore him out!  :-X  ;D
