Talking of cocks, an x351 Jag XJL owner pulled into Sainsburys carpark yesterday, and put it right in the middle of 2 spaces.

Now, owning the SWB version, I know they are big cars for small parking spaces, but, I mean, REALLY?  It wasn't an old duffer either.

One of my many intrusive thoughts is to buy an original smart car  or similar just so I can park it in the 3/4 of a space some drivers insist on leaving next to their car.   >:D

Fitted with a Hayabusa engine - obviously.
One of my Bro's worked for a company where he could choose any company car from Mercedes, and usually chose a Smart.  Partly because he could park it anywhere ;D

Another 3l roars into life :y

I believe the 3.0l is the best of all petrol engines fitted to the Omega-B.  The 3.2 is compromised by penny pinching, resulting in approximately similar performance but with woeful economy (as is the 2.6 compared to the 2.5), and all others are a little underpowered, yet don't give a significant increase in economy.  The 3l is surprisingly economical given its age, assuming you don't hoof it everywhere.

We found that some pattern wishbones use a different rear bush to OE, making changing the rear bush a problem.  I'm sure even DG will confirm that ATP's shitty arms need replacement balljoints after a year or 2.

Hence if you have genuine GM arms in good condition, refurbing is the better, long term cheaper option. And short term cheaper as well ;D
Indeed :y

Which is why is say to treat them as service items ;) And whilst alignment cost is a consideration, the state of the roads means you're probably getting the alignment done the often too.
Which makes ATP junk quite expensive to use all the time, assuming the damn things ever turn up in the first place.

I quite like France, and the French.  Obviously I don't include Paris or Parisians, or Calais and whatever the meatbags their are referred to (Somalians, I think).

Paris is just like London, only smells more, as the Seine is much dirtier than the Thames.  And central London is a monumental shithole.

The rest of France is generally nice and mostly rural, and the French are friendly and helpful.

I have never set foot in the place and never will. It used to be full of French people, which is bad enough, but now it has millions of other undesirables too.

Drove to Eurodisney many years ago when the kids were young, the whole place was shite the people were shite & the food was shite, vowed never to go back.
Well, what do you expect? An American theme park just outside Paris?  Of course its going to be shit, full of shit people - both the staff and the customers - and overpriced american style shitty food.

Its bad enough going to theme parks in america.  Whenever I went to Universal nearly 10 years ago, I think it was something like $30 for a 4 slice pizza, and $10 for a soft drink.  And the rides are beyond shite, with just 3 proper roller coasters across the entire park, with everything else being VR.  Did I mention it was shite?

I learnt something during my week away.  I'd assumed that the Mercedes drivers universally being cocks was a UK thing, but it does appear to be global.

Present company (possibly!) excluded, of course ;D

Whilst in there, might be worth cleaning the tank out, if its sat for a decade and a half.

Like all GM's of the era, fuel pump relay.  I just check it's not immobilised (flashing EML).

If not immobilised, start by checking power to fuel pump, and they work back electrically, or forward on fuel system from there.

I assume by now you've put it upside down into the scenery somewhere picturesque  :y
Mrs TB had some choice swearwords during some of my antics  ;D

But I did go slow when she was flying the drone around it...

Swapped the little shitbox for the day, for something with 650cc, two wheels and significantly quicker ;D

Did I fix that right?  ???  :)
No ;)

If it's 1.0l lightly blown, either the engine is shagged, or the car weighs about 3t

On the upside, it would appear to be staggeringly frugle on fuel
