Gearbox software: One for TB ?
« on: 11 April 2010, 14:12:12 »

Hi,

One for TB maybe..........

Jamie upgraded my gearbox software a few months ago, but the question is, where is that software stored? Is it in the gearbox ECU or the engine ECU. If I were to change the gearbox ECU then would the upgraded software go "with" the ECU and I'd then have whatever software was in the replacement ECU?

Thanks .......... Rob

Yes, stored in gearbox ECU. Replace the ECU, replace the firmware ;)

If you are changing ECUs, ensure you use the one for the right engine (identical part numbers, but different configs for the different engines)
