That one is at least 3.0.

The Alabama Mumsybus (Oct 2009 build) is the 2.5 and the older single unit type with an SD slot above the screen. rather than the split screen/interface.

I was reminded when SWMBO came down that it was due in for a service today so I took it down & forgot all about sat-nav versions  :-[ .... I'll have a look later when I collect it  :y

In that case, same as mine....process is easy

Essentially you get a map update USB of your current map....But removing the map files
and a 2nd USB of the new map update.

You put in the first USB stick....It says this is the same as youve got, do you want to reinstall, you say yes and it immediately fails as theres no map on the stick.. so it says retry...
You now put the 2nd stick with the new files in, and off it goes happily carrying on without needing a PIN.
sometimes fails a couple of times while applying, but carrys on from where it left off until complete.

No guarantees obviously, but ive done it 3-4 times no problem.

Ill let you know where the files are to put on a USB stick (32 GB, formatted as fat32) if you want to have a go?

using the USB socket in the arm rest?  :-\
There's a SD card slot in the front.
