Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / V6 Estate Exhaust - New for sale
« on: 24 April 2014, 17:40:24 »
After a balls up from ETS, I have a complete V6 Twin tail pipe exhaust for sale.
There is some damage to 1 mid section, the entries to the back box along with a small dint as shown below. I expect this will bash out / reshape but is sold as seen.
Included are both centres, and rear box, along with the 7 rubbers, and 4 nuts and bolts (no clamps)
£30 collection only from Chester. I am not prepared to package this up / use couriers.
Priority given to members with >250 posts until 18:00 25/4/14 when it is open to all.

General Car Chat / Zafira 1.9 Diesel Economy / Warmup
« on: 30 March 2014, 07:17:44 »
Ive noticed (no idea if its changed) that the Zafira seems a bit slow becoming economical.
Sat at about 50 mph, It gets mid 30's to the gallon for 18 minutes, then it jumps to mid 60's.
external temp was about 7oC
Wasnt watching car temp as it has no guage and you need to do a few keypresses to get it on the MID.
Question is, what changed at about the 18 minute mark? If it was petrol, id be thinking Lambda's gone closed loop, dont know if this applies with diesels. Or maybe something thermostat related?
When I get a chance I will do a similar trip and record the live data so see what changes, but anyone got any ideas, or have similar car to detail your experiences?

General Discussion Area / TV Mount recommendations
« on: 05 March 2014, 10:20:20 »
Im in the process of redecorating the bedroom, and changing things around a bit.
Anyway,
I need a TV Wall mount, that will hold a 32" screen flatish to the wall, but allow it to be pulled out to a variety of angles including pretty much 90 degrees to the wall.
Been looking around and these seems to fit the bill.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Swift-Mount-Full-Motion-Wall/dp/B008KZZEDU
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Invision%C2%AE-Screens-Cantilever-Mounting-mounting/dp/B003W5R9P4/ref=pd_cp_rec-ht_0
Anyone got any experience of these / similar devices you can recommend?
Cheers

General Discussion Area / Bathroom extractor fan ideas
« on: 08 December 2013, 14:44:53 »
Our bathroom has never had an extractor fan, we open the window before 1st shower, closing it as it gets dark.
Im looking to install an extractor fan, but am undecided on operation mode...
1, Fan you turn on, and off manually : Likely to be ignored by most the family.
2, Fan that goes on with light, off after set time : Possible, except the light tends to stay on all evening so probably running unneccessarily long.
3, Humidistat : Possible, I know in year gone by these came on far too often, esp on humid days, have things improved.
3, PIR fan, : didnt know these existed, and I like the idea am struggling for a downside.
Any comments or recommendations?
Cheers
