Hydraulic Lifters
« on: 12 October 2009, 17:36:16 »

Even after following the guide on regards cleaning and testing a while back since then I've had alot of rattling from one or two.

How do I tell individually if one is fubared or not, while I have them out.

I want to sort this rather noise out once and for all >:(

check the spring action on each one? Put it in a vice and push the metal spring, see if it pumps out old oil.

And is that good or bad?

What if they're completly stiff, I've had that before.

Well they should pump oil through, if they don't, i'd replace them.
