General Discussion Area / Admins please help...Need do contact KEN T
« on: 26 September 2011, 20:46:30 »
To whichever admin reads this first, could you please put me into contact with Ken T, earlier this year I had sold him an item, and the day after recieving his payment My laptop and everything on it was lost, I still have his parcel but no address on it to send it to.

I would like to send it or offer him a full refund, whichever he prefers along with my appologies.

thanks

Steve

before you commit to buying the leather, look at the switch loaction for the heated seats (center console) and see if there are female pins visible? if the holes are just empty, then there is no heated seat wiring, and wont be any leccy seat feed usable to make the adaptor for memory seats.

only some gls spec cars (with winter pack) have the heated seat wiring, none of them have the wiring to run memory seats, you would need to modify the electric seat (up and down) feed for the cd spec seats, to allow you to use memory functions.

also did you get the seat bolts with the elite seats? as they are longer than the standard ones.

got your work cut out im afraid  :-/

check the fusable links beside the bettery (under bonnet) and the larger fuses in the main fuse box

could be the thermostat in the seat didnt cut out causing the fuse to pop, (assuming you had seat on at the time)

keep a couple of 15amp fuses spare with you, and give the car a run with the seats off, if the fuse is ok after that then it confirms the seat is the culprit.

Surely being an M plate would mean it had the older seperate fob?

On some of them the larger single button fob also had the blade key incorporated, hence why the seperate fob still has the place for the chip to sit, and the blade section filled in.  :)

left foot braking in an auto?? whabang!! thru the windscreen while the car behind you plows up yer bum..

been so close a few times, reaching to dump the clutch in an auto  ;D ;D

9
driving an auto decreases strength in your left leg, so after a while it wil be so weak youll be walking in circles...  ;D ;D

to be honest i dont mind either, just prefer manual if the choice is given.

10
i was wrong and you were right, there i said it...  :P

im not proud..  ;D

11
yeah 2.0 8v carlton I had deffo used 2nd, was tested when eliminating a faulty snow mode button.

not to say omega is same, I dont use the auto in the snow.

12
in the carlton it was definately 2nd, would have thought it would be too much of a struggle for the car to take off in 3rd? unless the v6 auto is different to the 4pot auto

will see when someone knowledgable on the matter appears  ;D

13
to use snow mode on my estate I put it in 2nd, then press snow mode switch, it illuminates brightly, for the benefit of anyone that doesnt know what snow mode does, it makes the car take off in 2nd rather than 1st (prevents wheelspin)

if left in 2nd without snow mode enabled, the car would take off in first, change into 2nd but not change any further until D selected.

14
and if your doing 60mph+ your foot isnt on the pedal and you dont have cruise your clearly driving a toyota!!  :D :D :D

15
like an omega pub quiz this  :D

1: no symbol on dash, button gets brighter when active

2: blown bulbs, take off end covers for dash to gain access, 3w mini capless bulbs

3:I drive a proper car (manual) so dont know  ;D ;D

4: yes available at approx £15 a piece, finding one is a different story  :o

do i win a prize???  ;D ;D ;D
