My poor car is having to be very tolerant towards my blatant lack of attention to signs! 
Saturday night, off clubbing in Chester with friends, parked up in a car park I've used hundreds of times and off we toddle. Arrive back to collect car at 2 a.m. only to find that the car park is now locked from 11 - 6.30 at weekends! Sign is smaller than A4 with very faded print! Bugger, can see Big Blue but can't get to her!
Had to treat my poor car to a nice bubble bath to apologise!
Today. Driving along a road that we use frequently and therefore know to be a national speed limit, within said limit as patrol car behind me. Flashing blue lights, oops! Nice Mr police man asks if I realise that it's now a 50 mph limit and I was breaking it. Apologise profusely and explain that when I drove it yesterday it was still a national and I hadn't seen any new signs. Sent on my way with the suggestion that I may like to be slightly more observant. Phew!
Had a good look and the speed signs have changed but no warning of a new speed limit which they seem very fond of doing around here!
So that's 2 incidents this week, wonder what'll be next??
