General Car Chat / Stealer Oil Promotion on TC (Just About!)
« on: 23 December 2013, 21:26:01 »
Just picked up a sheet from local stealer for trade club offers - egs. given below:
Don't think they are doing 4 for 3 anymore.

10/40 20 litre barrel - £27.95 (usually £30.25)
5/30 20 litre barrel - £59.95 (usually £60.78 ::))

Assuming you have to add vat.

They also list a 5/40 - anyone know if this is fully synthetic? 20 litres for £39.95

Can't believe what I've done but I just bought an eclass 300td - 1999 - reckon tb would be happy with something similar - ticks a lot of boxes.

I put in one of the humidistat ones from sp from tlc -direct - it works well you just need to tinker with the humidity level dial until it gets to the level you are happy with. After that it is totally automatic. Also get the biggest/most powerful one you can.

Considering we live in austere times, don't you think it is a bit excessive? :P

Bought a Toshiba satellite c660 - 155 from dabs.com a couple of years ago purely for home surfing, emails and lately streaming. I know its not fancy but it is still going strong and I have been impressed with it. Was about £320ish IIRC. Would recommend/buy same make again - 2 yrs on the specs must have improved too.

Good point - best to do a test next time he goes to mothercare - which I'm sure he will!

Congratulations.

3 should fit in the back but note Broomies comment ref: middle seat.. I have 2 and reckon another one would fit.

If any are booster seats this will help your cause as they are not as wide as ones for 0-6 months. You could always go to a mothercare and try/test with a mates seat.

IIRC Some omega front seats have a transponder system which detects when a child seat is placed on the passenger seat and disables the airbag BUT you also need to have a child seat with the transponder built in (dealer job I believe).

I used to dip a cotton bud in an alcohol based solution and then gently clean the tape head - did help a bit.

I don't see a head cleaner doing any damage but if it is old it might just place more dirt onto the head :-\

That's great.  :y
From when I met you I left with the impression you apply sensible logic to the task in hand (I remember chatting about stereos at the Wycombe meet). With this approach i'm sure you will be doing plenty more tasks successfully in no time at all :y
