nahh...  Merchant, not Royal.  AndyB is yer man to be a Button Boy!!

My father was in the Royal Navy for 26 years and he told me about being a "button boy".  He never did it because he hates heights, but knew one young sailor who used to love doing it!

I knew one or two who would get onto the button, lots more who would get to the crows nest, not me though

I do not mind heights Mike, but I can imagine the swaying of the mast would be difficult to take, especially in a strong wind (well anything above a breeze!)
