Gearbox  Firmware Upgrade
« on: 12 November 2007, 06:37:06 »

Had the firmware upgraded by the Boy on Saturday, wow what a difference, feels like a new car.
Also did a few other minor jobs for me, and told me of a couple to do myself.
Get down to Brackley,if you need any help.
Thanks Jamie.

Probably only the main Stealer, TheBoy and Mark have proper Vauxhall Tech 2 equipment which costs more than my car is worth ;D

i had the upgrade done at the nearly wales meet, well worth it....

on a light throttle it will go through the gears now seamlessly, well worth the investment

Had this done on the MV6, the CDX is a stange version which didnt need upgrading.

Makes a big difference.

Can heartily recommend the 'test drive'  both myself and Mrs Jimbob thoroughly enjoyed it.  Slightly worrying amount of smoke coming off my brakes when we stopped though   :o

Can the upgrade be done on a 3.0 v6 - prefacelift? I'd love to get mine done. Live in Chesterfield but work in Reading and can get to Nottingham...

TC Card, will buy parts for members near by. V6 Camshaft locking kit can rent out to members at club rates.

Possibly, thinks thats the 5L40E box so very different to our humble 4 speeds (you lucky bugger).

The 99 model year one above can certainly be done.
