You should check for play and only replace what is neccessary...

And then get your geometry set up afterwards.

Dont go changing everything for the hell of it, unless youve very deep pockets and want to change everything before setting up, then enjoy perfection for as long as possible.

Cant argue with that, if funds aren't an issue.

You can say no point in fixing what isnt broken, but if your chucking £100 into geometry, then why not make it last as long as possible

Centre arm probably wont need touching, iirc not a lot to wear there.

Wishbones, track rods, and idler can certainly all cause bad steering.
drop links are just a comfort / noise thing.

Only last advice would be to stick to quality parts, or your wasting your time.  Poly bushes also being an option for the wishbones.  If it was me, and funds allowed, that would prob all come from Allgermanparts.  Meyle parts where possible, dropping to lemforder when no other choice.

While there is play in the mechanism, if the steering is all over the place improvements are equaly or even more likely to be found in bushes, set up, amd tyres. ....there's nothing to be gained from replacing anything other than the worn parts in the steering mechanism, if we're talking about the usual failure modes. The centre link is quite expensive too.

yeah i see that center part is ££££££.
had a look today . and there seams to be a lot of play in the idle arm .
i've got a new one to fit , but is there any chance the pin it goes on could also be worn ?.
