1994 CDX remote fob programming
« on: 29 June 2009, 11:11:03 »

I have a “spare” key fob that glows red when you press the button however it fails to unlock the doors etc. Is there a procedure for “getting it to work” please?

and if you have more than 4 keys programed into it ,i,e previous owners have had some and lost them etc etc, you have to erase all key memories and redo the ones you have which is a bit scary knowing your car may not recognise them after you have deleted them!!! lol dont ask me how i know!!

hi can i just ask. im sure your having the same prob i had when i first got my miggy and there were no batteries in the fob. when i first put them in nothing happened. but on our 94 miggys we have i small black ir sensor in the middle of the roof by the sunroof control.

i sat in me miggy and pressed the button while having it pointed at the small black ir in the car for about ten seconds and it working all of  a sudden. maybe i was lucky but give it a try. i cant remember if a light flashed on the dash or if the locks just shot up or down? but give it a try :y :y :y

I think that worked because they were already programmed to the car - they just had dead batteries. So a 'foreign' key cannot be programmed in that way. Fairly sure you need a techie to do it. But, yes Kinplym, in certain circumstances it will work  :)
