Monaro test drive
« on: 08 October 2009, 15:19:38 »

This one is doing the round on the internet, but couldn't see it here so thought I would share it. (Sorry if it's a pee-roast).

Guy takes a Monaro in for a simple radiator pipe leak, the mechanics take it for a test drive. I believe the police are now 'test driving' the mechanics license!

Kinda makes me glad that I know what I'm doing myself, or at least I have friends that do. I do like the Roadhawk though, how cool are they. Only limiting factor to me is the £279.99 price tag.

must admit its temping to fit that video / gps gear up to any car, must be very usefull for insurance claims when trying to find out who is to blame.

Good for parents too to keep track of how their kids drive when they are not around.

reading the thread from the link, looks like he put it on YouTube and the police tracked him down and he gave them all the details.

If you look at the front page of the roadhawk website, his vid is in the news section, they must be loving it. And yes the police have asked the owner for the original footage. So I guess the mechanics, which you can just about hear talking in the vids, are going to be trouble.

I guess the guy originally didn't want to go to the police, as I bet there is footage of him not quite obeying the rules. Well come on, who on here can say they stick to the speed limit 100% of the time? Now imagine that feeling and owning a v8 Monaro.

Their value dropped quickly from 20k to 10-12k ish now, but seem to have been holding firm for some time now. Doubt we will see them in Omega money  :'(

Anybody who does make that claim is either a liar or they don't drive, end of story!
