Whilst in there, might be worth cleaning the tank out, if its sat for a decade and a half.

Before you fit the new pump, disconnect the fuel rail and blow out both the supply and return lines under the car. You don't want any old fuel getting near the engine.

Perhaps the Omega is starting it's transition from banger to classic.

Omegas are simply old. Which is pretty much what you said; classics are just older bangers.

Perhaps the Omega is starting it's transition from banger to classic.

You hear of people paying £10,000 for a Cortina which were literally everywhere back in the day.

Thankfully the eml is not flashing and there is power going to the fuel pump but no fuel getting to the engine. I’ve bought a new pump and filter so will start with those.

Like all GM's of the era, fuel pump relay.  I just check it's not immobilised (flashing EML).

If not immobilised, start by checking power to fuel pump, and they work back electrically, or forward on fuel system from there.

Hi guys, been about 15 years since I last owned an omega, but I have very recently acquired a pre facelift 99 3.0 mv6 manual with 54k miles that has been dry stored in a barn from 2011. She is currently a non runner but engine is turning over freely by hand and also in the key, I have spark but no fuel, I’m guessing fuel pump and fuel filter are my main issues but is there anything else I should be looking at? Cheers
