mid and engines

currently have a 2.5 v6 manual pre mod estate

205/65/15  wheels and tyres

soon to have a 3.0 lump fitted  ;D ;D :y

do i need to change the mid for one off a 3.0 to keep the readings true ?
or will they be ok  :y

( providing i keep the wheel / tyre ratio the same  :y

ie  215/ 55/16 ........... 225/45/17 ............. blah blah blah

you can just have the config changed on yours to match the new engine  :y

will need a chat with tech2

Not sure as it will need changing as the tyre size is not changing and its still a V6 (trying to remember the config!)

havent a clue.

but it DOES know engine size and gearbox type.

guess you will get error codes / incorrect operation of some sort.

it will have cruise fitted  :y
at least when i get round to sorting out the pedal switches out  :-[

any diferance ?

slightly related....when my ABS ECU was replaced, with a BRAND NEW one, it had no config.

this caused TC light to be always on, and also caused the car to stall when idling for about 2 minutes after starting the car if the revs werent kept up.


programming the config solved both instantly.

engine note changed as well when the config was set.

black magic at its best!

this one should still have the 2.5 settings in so i'll see how it goes for now  :y

yeah, its different between otherwise identical 2.5 and 3.0
