General Discussion Area / Re: New Combi Boiler
« on: 10 November 2021, 19:49:52 »
Im having my 11yo combi boiler replaced with a new combi....

So what do the experts reckon I'll save on gas with the new one?

Nowt? / 5% / 10% / more?

The room stat needs changing (I can do that myself) as the one fitted lies! (I guess thats 11yo as well)
Its set at 28C and no way is it that warm in here, ok its nice and warm, but if it really was 28C, i'd be sweating like a gud un!

Well, it works , but as its over 7yo i can get a grant to replace it, grant is not by gas supplier either... :)

What's wrong with your newish boiler Dave?  ???  :-\

When I've travelled on ze continent on my jack (especially the Eastern bit), I've often been mistaken for a German.  :-\   ::)

Must be my Aryan good looks!  :)
No, no Tigger. When they called you a sausage eater they meant something totally different  ;D

 ;D

Actually when they found out I'm English and was packing a British Banger rather than a German Weinerwurst....  :)

Just watching NAT GEO, they just been talking about (for 2 mins) King Tut's mummified willy,...ever thought having yours mummified Sir Tig???  ;D

General Car Chat / Re: Code readers... what to buy?
« on: 30 October 2019, 13:19:36 »
I would assume the two batteries are one for starting and the other for running all the electric bits an bobbins.
So that you play to your hearts content with the gadgets with engine off and flatten one battery and you will still be able to start the car :)

Probably not :-\

Either get the wheels refurbished or fit a different set... Although you will need a different set to be able to get them refurbished  ::)

I had all the tyres removed and the rims scrubbed up about 12 months ago.  :-\  Sigh...  ::)
Did they do the valve seats?

Yep and new valves.

Anyway I've pumped it up and it's clearly leaking from the rim.  Dropped it off at the tyre shop for them to sort, so hopefully the tyre is OK...  ::)

You could buy some steel wheels....my Mondeo has steel wheels on it.....ive never had a problem! :)
